Who are we?

We are dreamers, lovers of film, lovers of animation and lovers of Jamaican, and Caribbean stories, culture, people. Have A Bawl is a Jamaican film and animation production company, formed in 2017, focused on developing and producing great Jamaican and other Caribbean stories and projects.

What projects are we working on?

Our focus is on developing Jamaican stories, Caribbean stories and the vision of Jamaican and Caribbean writers. And we want to share those stories: locally, regionally, globally.

Our great in-development roster are all based on award-winning or acclaimed screenplays, some of which have been shortlisted for ScreenCraft and Sundance international screenwriters competitions. Head to our Projects page to learn more about our great projects.

What is the Bawl Business?

We are a female-helmed Jamaican film and animation production company focused on developing Jamaican content with global appeal for TV, cinema and online media. Our directors hold collective experience in creative writing, film production, animation and intellectual property management.

Our vision is to be a global cinematic force by developing unique, entertaining and innovative content with universal themes – powered by Caribbean storytelling that reflects the region's culture and people.

Our project slate includes feature-length, short films and episodic content in early development and encompasses genres from coming-of-age/adventure to drama and fantasy. 

In addition to producing our own projects, we also believe in helping and collaborating with others to make their dreams come true. So we offer production and production management services to live-action and animation projects.
